Gov. Scott Walker visited the Downtown Milwaukee Campus to announce a workforce training plan that includes an investment in the Wisconsin Technical College System. The governor was joined by WTCS President Dr. Morna Foy, University of Wisconsin System President Dr. Ray Cross and Wisconsin Secretary of Workforce Development Ray Allen. The group toured the CNC and mechatronics labs and discussed health careers. Gov. Walker spoke with Dr. Martin; students; School of Health Sciences Dean Dr. Nancy Vrabec; and the School of Technology and Applied Sciences' Interim Dean Dorothy Walker, Associate Dean David Polk and instructor Tom Heraly. The governor also met MATC District Board Director Mark Foley and business partners including Anna Greditor of United Healthcare, Nathaniel Lynn of the Al Hurvis / ADAMM Education Foundation and Phil Tolkan of ADAMM.
