HOPE Lab Conference on Student Hunger and Housing

Milwaukee Area Technical College and the Wisconsin HOPE Lab hosted a national conference for higher education leaders and policymakers to address food and housing insecurity among undergraduate students. Kim Hunter Reed, the deputy undersecretary of education, spoke with several MATC students about their challenges before addressing the audience at the conference. Ajita Talwalker Menon, the senior policy advisor for higher education at the White House Domestic Policy Council, also spoke at the event.
