Nursing Pinning Ceremony

Ninety-eight Associate Degree Nursing and Practical Nursing graduates were honored in a pinning ceremony in Cooley Auditorium. The ceremony signifies the graduates' eligibility to join their chosen profession and recognizes the support of family, classmates, faculty and staff. Cheryl Watt, nursing faculty and instructional chair, Mequon Campus, served as mistress of ceremonies. MATC President Dr. Michael L. Burke and Executive Vice President and Provost Dr. Vicki Martin offered their greetings and remarks. Nicholas Grider, Practical Nursing graduate, and William Sluis, Associate Degree Nursing graduate, spoke on behalf of their graduating class. Dessie Levy, Health Occupations division dean, “pinned” the graduates with the assistance of Nancy Vrabec, associate dean of nursing.
