Five Star Food & Wine Evening

Cuisine prepared by Milwaukee Area Technical College culinary arts and baking students highlighted the annual Five Star Food & Wine Evening, held March 8 at the Downtown Milwaukee Campus. More than 500 guests sampled food from France, Italy, Asia and Latin America. There was also a carvery and assorted sweet and specialty pastry stations. MATC Culinary Arts Apprentice Graduate Suzanne Schlicht, who was a finalist on Fox TV’s “Hell’s Kitchen” last season, was a special guest chef at a risotto station. During her apprenticeship, Schlicht worked at Bartolotta’s Lake Park Bistro and now works for Caesar’s Palace Casino and Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada.
